I'm behind...quick update
I have gotten really behind on writing and I don't have much time now either. So, here are just a couple of things to get you up-to-date! I don't have the pictures available right now either so they will have to wait for the next post.
Last weekend was a busy one for us. My cousin Kay & her husband Keith and their kids Stryker (3) and Peytra (3 months) from Wisconsin were at my mom's for the day. That was the first time that Bennett got to meet those cousins and it was great seeing them!
Bennett got his first tractor ride this day also from Uncle Jon which he enjoyed.
That night I went to see a movie with Laura - The Ugly Truth. It was pretty good but the best part was just being out - without Bennett! This was the first movie I have seen since he was born.
Then on Sunday we went to my friend Karen's parents house for a going away party for her brother Kevin. I have known her family for about 12 years now and I love them all - hi to Karen's Grandma who I have heard reads our blog from time to time.
This week I have been making baby food from the peas & green beans I have growing in my garden! I have been saving the plastic baby food containers and putting mine in those. So far I have 4 of peas & 3 of green beans with more green beans ready that I need to cook & puree tonight.
We are going with my family to Brained this weekend! Mike & I really haven't been anywhere since our honeymoon so I am really looking forward to this - just wish it was longer than a weekend. It will be interesting to see how Bennett does - hopefully fine but he is teething again so he can be a pain at times - especially at night! I promise lots of new pictures next week.

6 Month Stats
We had Bennett's 6 month checkup this morning and here are his stats - a big boy as we expected.
weight - 19.4 - (85%)
height - 27 in. - (74%)
head - 17 3/4 in. - (85%)
She also asked the "growth chart" questions - can he do this, can he do that etc. and he is border lining some 8-9 month things already which is awesome!
He is wearing size 6-12 month clothes depending on the brand & size 3 diapers.

Dolls
Apparently Bennett likes this old doll of Kristen's...(sigh) it's starting already. I guess this doll "talks" which intrigues him and he likes looking at it. I will admit it is kinda cute but we'll make sure he gets plenty of truck time too! I hope the video at the bottom works and doesn't take too long to load.

6 Months Old
Wow - It seems like I was just writing about 5 months stuff and now it's already 6! It is crazy to think about how fast these first 6 months have gone by.
Not much has happened over the last week. We did go to Shirley's tonight since cousin Amy & her little guy Evan are home for a few days. Otherwise not much new so here are just a few new pictures.
Bennett's new found interest - "driving" tractors (thanks to Josh)
for comparison - about 2 weeks old

4th of July Weekend
I love long weekends but they seem to go even faster than a normal weekend. I didn't work on Friday and Mike got done really early too but I still sent Bennett to Kristen for the day so that we could get some much needed work done at home.
For the 4th, we invited my family & Shirley over for burgers in the evening. I love grilling out and having people over but we don't get that done very often. After that, we went to the fireworks. Bennett was already sleeping & in his pajamas figuring (hoping), he'd stay sleeping and sleep right through. But, he woke up as soon as we got there. He seemed to enjoy them and didn't mind the noise at all! We had a really good spot to sit so I tried to take a picture of him but I was either blinding him with the flash and his eyes would be shut with good fireworks in the background or, he'd be looking but because of camera delays I would totally miss the fireworks. So oh well, this is the best I could get. Luckily he fell right back to sleep on the way home around 10:30 but then ended up waking up already at 12:30 - I think he was all mixed up thinking it was just time for a nap or something.
Today Bennett & I went over to Mom's in the afternoon and he went in the "big" pool with Josh & Kristen for awhile. He doesn't seem to be very scared of the water which is a great thing. Josh was holding him like an airplane and kept going around the pool. He tried doing it on his back too but Bennett didn't like getting his head wet for that. It was cute to watch.
So back to it tomorrow already. Doesn't look like anything exciting is really planned for this week. Oh, an update on the teeth - the bottom two are defiantly in now. He does seem to be a little more happier & content this weekend so hopefully he is feeling better. The drooling hasn't stopped though and it doesn't help that he recently learned how to blow raspberries which he does constantly now.

Updates - Teeth
Last Friday my Mom and Grandma went to see my Great Grandma. Bennett went with so here is a picture of him with his Great-Great-Grandma. I can't remember her exact age but I want to say she is 93.
To keep Bennett occupied these past evenings I have taken him for long stroller rides. He is such a boy and loves watching the cars & trucks go by.
