Christmas Eve

We technically had 6 different Christmas gatherings this year! - Christmas with Mike's Mom's side was on the 22nd in Edina, we had Christmas Eve here at our house with just us, Christmas Day was at Mom's, the 26th was the Mielke Christmas at my Mom's, the 30th was the Laue Christmas in Fairmont and then on the 31st we met up with Mike's Grandpa Bill and Mary from his Dad's side at Champps restaurant for lunch.  Whew.  I sure love Christmas but boy that got to be alot.  On a plus though, the kids did great every day!!!

So on Christmas Eve we went to church and Bennett was in the Sunday School Christmas Service.  Like in his Preschool Program, he didn't really participate at all in the singing or anything but he did follow the line of kids and walked in to church and stood still when he was supposed to!  While we were at church Santa came!  This was the first year that Santa came to our own house on Christmas Eve since some of the family gatherings got shifted to different days this year. 

Bennett and Ashley each had 2 gifts in their stocking and then 4 main gifts to open.  They took turns opening to make it last alittle longer and surprisingly it worked well and they didn't mind waiting for their turn. 

Bennett got a toddler bike, a bike helmet, a matchbox cars garage/ramp, and a farm set with a couple tractors, farm animals etc.

Ashley got a Barbie house, some dress up shoes, a Minnie Mouse dress, and some baby doll bottles.

We ended our night by watching The Grinch.  It was a fun night and the kids loved their gifts!
