- He loves schoool. His teachers are always telling me how great he is doing participating with the class and listening really well. This year he has been learning about the alphabet. He knows the letters but doesn't really care to learn to write them or care about the sounds that they make yet. He loves doing projects, playing, singing and gym time but the whole learning thing doesn't seem to interest him right now. I think we are in for a long 12 years head!
- He is such a boy and loves taking things apart, watching how things are made, helping to fix things etc. He is very curious about all hands-on type things.
- He would be outside the entire day if I'd let him. This winter has been a killer because of the cold weather. But so far this spring, he's been outside every chance he could....especially at my mom's farm. He loves helping my brothers feed the cows, work with the tractor or bobcat, fix things etc. He'll be exploring there all summer. I see many sleepovers in his future this summer.
- He still has a huge love for music - "playing" instruments, watching people play instruments, listening to music and singing.
- We've been having a couple of challenging months with his listening and some bad behavior. He is a good boy most of the time but when he's not, he's really not. I just started reading "The Strong-Willed Child". I'm not very far into it yet but the thing that has stuck out the most so far is that when you have a strong willed child, they are strong willed since a newborn. Thinking back, I remember many many nights having to rock Bennett to get him to sleep...whereas I rarely ever had to do that with Ashley....they are both SO different.
- All in all though, he is such a sweet boy and I'm so proud of who he is! He's growing up to be a really fun and adventurous little guy who steals my heart all the time.
Thanks Kristen for making his "Gold Rush" cake
The grass, dirt and gold.
Bennett holding his cousin Tyeden.
Sounds like we have a Future Farmer in the family!
