Father's Day Twins Game/Weekend

This was a pretty busy weekend. Friday after work I went to get my hair cut. I'm calling it a summer haircut but who am I fooling, it's a Mommy Haircut. It is defiantly shorter and will take some time getting used to and figuring out how it looks best. Then, after I got home, Mike left to go up to MilleLacs Lake with a friend to learn how to kite-board on water. He does this on the snow every winter and you can do it on water also. I guess it wasn't windy though so he didn't get to actually kite at all but he did learn to wake-board instead which he said was awesome. For those of you who don't know, wake-boarding is like water-skiing only you are on a board somewhat like a snowboard. He said he got up his first try. So anyways he was gone until late Saturday night. So Saturday Bennett and I put some water in his little pool and enjoyed the afternoon outside. It's about 6 inches deep and he seemed to like it. He tipped over a few times though which he wasn't happy about. Yesterday we were also dealing with red spots all over his tummy and a few on his legs. There were so many that I was afraid it was chicken-pox since I didn't really know what they would look like. We still are not really sure what they are but they were much better today so I ruled out the pox. It may be bug bites or some sort of rash or reaction to something - just need to figure out to what. Then, today after church we packed up and went to the Twins game for Father's Day. I was able to get seats 1 & 2 in the 4th row in the outfield. We were alittle worried about how Bennett would react but he was WONDERFUL! He fussed for about 30 seconds late in the 7th inning and then shortly after that he was sleeping. Like I thought, there was so much for him to look at that he didn't really get crabby at all. I was soooo impressed by him today. We actually had an older guy across the aisle from us tell us after the game what a good boy we had and that he didn't hear him once. After talking to him for a minute, he asked where we were from and then said, oh, I know where that is, we are from Plato. Anyways, Bennett slept the whole ride home and was very tired tonight and was in bed by 7:30. Oh yea - I made a Circle Me Bert sign but I don't think we got on TV - oh well it was worth a shot. Oh and the Twins made the game itself pretty boring and lost 4-1.

Also - I have a feeling that one of my future post within the next few weeks will have pictures of baby teeth! He chews on everything, drools constantly and his gums look and feel much different these days. Wish us luck with this.... :-)

  1. My guess is heat rash. Alex had that his first summer and I panicked and called the nurse hotline, they told me many children get that.

2nd guess: Hives, another reaction many children get, most often something you're unable to determine the origin of, and they also informed me not to worry about it when Alex had it.

Good luck with teething!! I absolutely adore the circle me bert sign!
