So yesterday would have been my Dads 50th birthday! Boy wouldn't that have been a fun day! I had not taken Bennett out to the cemetery to "meet" Grandpa yet so I thought I would take him on Dad's birthday. But, since it was pouring rain last night we went tonight instead. I told Bennett how spoiled he would have been by his Grandpa - we all know that sure would have been true! Bennett left his mark - when I sat him down on the grass, he toppled over and his head landed right in the flowers and smushed a few of them. I'm sure Dad didn't mind though :-)
Also tonight he looked like such a big boy sitting in this chair. This was actually my chair when I was a little girl. David fixed it up, gave it a fresh coat of stain and gave it to me at my baby shower before Bennett was born. He looked so grown up sitting in there! Kind of neat that he is using something that I once sat in too.

ReplyDeleteWhat a neat thing to do, take Bennett to "meet" Grandpa. I don't think Evan has met Grandpa Jaeger yet. My mission in July. Get him to the cemetery to meet Grandpa Jaeger, Great-Grandpa Mielke, and Great Uncle Kendall. What a big boy.
